How to get here: 1. Arrive at Kelowna Airport from Calgary or Vancouver, then by rental car to Edgewood (about 180km). Take Highway 97 north to Vernon, then turn right on Highway 6 to Lumby. Follow the signs 'Nakusp, Fauquier' over the Monashee pass. About 130km from Vernon is the turn-off to Edgewood. Turn right. After 1.6km turn right again into Robinson Road and drive for another 1,7km. It’s the white house with the red roof on the other side of the valley. The mailbox reads '441 PLOESSNER'. That's us. 2. By plane to Vancouver or Calgary, then take a rental car from the airport and drive the scenic route via Rogers Pass from the east (about 600km), the Fraser canyon from the west (750km), or we can suggest some other interesting routes. 3. Guests who don’t want to rent a car we’ll pick up from Kelowna Airport for a flat rate of $120,00 per ride. 4. By Greyhound to Vernon or Revelstoke. From there we'll pick you up at the same rate. Here in Edgewood, we usually look at the 5-day weather forecast for Castlegar which is south of us. If we are planning a tour in a northerly direction, we go by the Revelstoke weather forecast. It's usually pretty accurate. Besides that, the Environment Canada website is very interesting with radar imagery, satellite imagery, hurricane information, air quality reports and more.
