A nice looking and strong hiking stick is very hard to find but if you are lucky and get really industrious, it is possible. Spar varnish with a 45 UV sunblock is used for the coating and there is a replaceable metal tip. The handle grips are leather done in an 8-way braid called "plaiting" or sewn on as done on the wolf head. Average length of each stick is at least 47" from the ground to the very top. |
